(November 26, 2009 – West Vancouver) The European investor who recently purchased the historic Chezacut Ranch in British Columbia’s Chilcotin region plans to keep the ranch running to maintain the land’s beauty, preserve the wildlife and maintain its value as a working ranch.
The Chezacut Ranch was listed at C$6.9 million, and the turnkey sale includes all livestock and equipment. The property was listed for sale with Richard Osborne of Lanquest Realty and was sold by Irv Ridd of Cascadia Pacific Realty.
“The buyer comes from a Mediterranean climate, so he was just blown away by the unique beauty of BC’s ranch country,” says Ridd. “He plans to keep Chezacut Ranch running with the same management to ensure this gorgeous landscape is maintained.”
The historic Chezacut Ranch is located 70 km northwest of Alexis Creek on the Fraser Plateau, in the Chilcotin region of British Columbia. Chezacut Ranch was settled more than 120 years ago and consists of about 500,000 acres of deeded, leased and rangelands. The ranch is licensed to run 850 cow calf pairs, including 55 bulls and 900 yearlings.
Cascadia Pacific Realty is based in West Vancouver and is one of British Columbia’s leading realtors for high end and ranchland properties.
